EMANUELE PICA | AWARD-WINNING DIRECTOR & PRODUCER
Emanuele Pica is an Italian born, Los Angeles based filmmaker working as a writer, director, and producer across independent features and shorts. His work is driven by character, tension, and a cinematic approach that favors precision over spectacle, often exploring power, loyalty, and moral fracture within intimate narrative frames.
He is currently developing and producing several feature projects. JACK CLAYBORNE, a Hollywood noir, is the next feature he is attached to direct and produce. MOSSAD: COMMISSION OF INQUIRY, an espionage thriller based on the novel by award winning writer/journalist Michael Sfaradi, follows, with Pica serving as screenwriter and producer while overseeing financing and casting. BLACK CLOUDS, a thriller set in Sicily, is also in development and has received the RAI Cinema Development Grant.
In parallel, Pica is preparing the short film THIRD, scheduled to shoot in Los Angeles in the first quarter of 2026. The project continues his focus on contained, performance driven storytelling and will serve as a creative bridge toward a new feature film currently in development, planned for production in summer 2026.
Born and raised in Rome, Pica graduated top of his class with a B.A. in Film Studies from Roma Tre University and later earned his M.F.A. in Film from Griffith University in Australia. He began his career as a script editor at Fandango, one of Italy’s leading production companies, before relocating to Los Angeles in 2017. Since then, he has directed and produced narrative and music driven projects in collaboration with international artists and global brands. His work has been recognized at multiple festivals, including Best Film at RIFF.
Pica continues to build an international body of work that balances a disciplined artistic vision with accessible, high stakes storytelling, positioning him as a filmmaker focused on longevity, authorship, and steady creative growth.
