His narrative screenwriting practice has been recognised with two prestigious Development Grants from Rai Cinema, and his projects have been optioned by Academy Award-winning production teams. As an educator, Pica has delivered specialised narrative seminars at Sapienza University of Rome, served as a guest lecturer and instructional assistant at Griffith Film School, and spent over a decade providing technical and creative mentorship to emerging directors both in the classroom and on active, professional film sets.
